Security levels
Electronic signatures are categorized into three levels of reliability, each ensuring a security standard adapted to the specific needs of users.
Since 2016, the eIDAS regulation has recognized electronic signatures throughout Europe, defining three tiers: simple, advanced, and qualified. These levels ensure increasing security in line with the General Security Framework (RGS).
Simple electronic signature
Offered through Elise Flow and Elise Cloud, this quick and easy option includes scanned signatures, checkboxes, or stylus input. It also lets you annotate documents—perfect for approving contracts, expense reports, and similar paperwork.
Advanced electronic signature
Provided by Elise Flow, this signature type includes stronger identity checks to prevent fraud. It uses a certificate issued by a trusted authority and is ideal for sensitive documents like banking contracts, insurance policies, or loan agreements.
Qualified electronic signature
Delivered by Elise Flow and ECS NGSign, this is the highest level of electronic signature required for legally critical or highly regulated documents. It involves a qualified certificate issued face-to-face by an accredited authority. Typical uses include notarized documents, life insurance contracts, tender submissions, and bailiff signatures.

Documents can be signed remotely, offering speed and flexibility for all types of transactions.
Ideal for urgent or international needs, this approach allows signers to approve documents anytime, anywhere, and from any connected device (laptop, smartphone, or tablet).
